1 år agoGoing to Villers-Bretonneux ,Musee Franco -Australien is a must, plenty of memorabilia of ww1 and ww2 . The Victoria school is right there as well. The French honour all soldiers that fought for France 🇫🇷 incredible

2 år agoSitué au 1er étage de l'école Victoria, ce musée témoigne des liens unissant la ville de Villers-Bretonneux et l'Australie depuis la 1ère guerre mondiale. Parcours de visite audioguidé (QR code à flasher, pensez à prendre vos écouteurs) à la découverte des nombreux objets exposés : uniformes, cartes, armes photographies... Un peu moins d'une heure de visite en prenant son temps. Petite boutique ds souvenirs. Parking dans la rue assez facile.

3 år agoIncredible collection and story-telling of Australian soldiers, sailors and airmen during WW1 on the Western Front, and of particular relevance to the liberation of Villers Brettoneux. High quality displays and narration.
Small gift shop upon entry as well.

8 år agoA small and simple museum with artefacts donated by veterans or moreso the children and grandchildren of the Australian veterans who came to fight for thier country in France.
For any Australian who has parents or grandparents in the great war, this is a very touching moment.
The souvenir shop is full of interesting things not at all expensive.
Lest we forget.
