Malerierne på 1. sal er tydeligt periodiseret og de fornemme gemakker i stueetagen er meget flotte. Det er ikke endeløst, så større børn kan godt være med. Bestemt en oplevelse værd. Vi var der den første søndag i måneden, så der var gratis adgang. I was bummed the Dutch painting room was closed and the works were “en voyage”. Separate tickets for Fine Art vs Decorative arts museum.I actually enjoyed the decorative art section more because there was a large section of ceramics including the works of Paul Hannog, local to Alsace as well as royal apartments that Napoleon stayed at.Didn’t have time for archeological museum but they all seem pleasant and not too overwhelming. ### Raabe Rocha 4 måneder ago · 4,0/5 Nice collection, calm, and easy to explore. Fast to see everything but also soothing to just stay and enjoy the art. Beautiful rooms that escape the conventional white or neutral gray walls that you find in museums, beautiful tones of blue and view from the city by tall windows on the hallways. Found it a pleasant place, the only thing was that the upper floor is not accessible for visitors, and you quite cant see truly the art pieces from bellow as they propose. I had higher expectations. I am a fan of old paintings and I was a bit disappointed with the amount of work exhibited here. I thought it would be a lot more art.Since it was a free entry day it was very crowded and the air was stuffy and moist.I wanted to get out quickly.I liked the Contemporary Art Museum more than this Fine Arts Museum. There was more art there and both new and old.
